TEHRAN, Oct. 07 (MNA) – Turkish warplanes hit late Friday 15 YPG/PKK targets in northern Syria, the country's National Defense Ministry said.

Many members of the groups were "neutralized" during the aerial operation, the ministry said in a statement on X.

A large number of members of the groups were neutralized by using maximum amounts of domestic ammunition in the operations, according to the statement.

The statement also said shelters, depots, and so-called bases used by the groups were also destroyed, Anadolu agency reported.

Turkish authorities use the term "neutralize" to imply the ones in question surrendered or were killed or captured.
