TEHRAN, Oct. 02 (MNA) – At least 25 people were injured after a huge fire erupted at a security directorate in the Egyptian Suez Canal city of Ismailia in the early hours of Monday, officials said.

At least 25 people were injured in a preliminary count of casualties, Reuters reported citing the Egyptian Ambulance Authority.

Civil defense sources said parts of the building had collapsed in the fire.

Videos posted on social media showed the city's security directorate engulfed in flames.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
