The spokesperson of the Iraqi Ministry of Justice, Kamel Amin, said in an interview with Iraqi News Agency (INA) that Baghdad has concluded memorandums of understanding and judicial agreements and the transfer and exchange of prisoners with some countries.
He said that based on bilateral agreements, the process of transferring prisoners continues, but these agreements are limited and do not include people who have undermined national security.
Kamel Amin added that the process of transferring prisoners was done with Iran, the United Kingodm and some other countries, and efforts are being made to exchange prisoners with Morocco.
The spokesperson of the Iraqi Ministry of Justice noted that these memorandums of understanding and agreements were signed in the field of judicial and legal cooperation and exchange of experiences.
He also mentioned the existence of agreements with some countries, including the Taif Agreement between Arab countries and other agreements with Iran and the UK.
