TEHRAN, Sep. 27 (MNA) – The governor of the Central Bank of Iran Mohammad Reza Farzin met with Qatar's Prime Minister to stress the potential to increase relations between the two countries in different trade, financial, and banking fields.

In the meeting with the Prime Minister of Qatar, the governor of the Central Bank of Iran(CBI) emphasized the necessity of increasing the monetary, banking and financial cooperation between the two countries after referring to the countless economic potnetial and diverse fields of commercial cooperation.

Farzin announced in this meeting that with the development of monetary and banking relations between Tehran and Doha, the volume of trade between the two countries will grow significantly.

The Prime Minister of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, for his part expressed his satisfaction with the agreements reached between the two countries and emphasized the need to accelerate the implementation of the agreements between the two countries in the economic field.

It was announced earlier on Wednesday that the governor of the Central Bank of Iran has traveled to Qatar to meet with his Qatari counterpart and other officials.
