TEHRAN, Sep. 19 (MNA) – Iranian foreign ministry spokesman expressed concern over the Karabakh region's escalated tension, calling on Armenia and Azerbaijan to comply with ceasfire agreement and to resolve the dispute through dialogue.

The spokesman of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nasser Kan'ani once again emphasized Iran's principled position towards the conflict in the Caucasus region and said that, "The Islamic Republic of Iran considers Karabakh as part of the Republic of Azerbaijan and believes that its relevant issues, including the rights and security of its residents, should be resolved through dialogue."

Kan'ani once again emphasized the role of the regional countries to help resolve the row peacefully and reminded the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to hold the 3+3 Format meeting in that regard.
