Etihad Airways, the Abu Dhabi government's national airline of the UAE (United Arab Emirates) is planning to launch a new passenger route between Abu Dhabi and Tehran. The airline company will operate three flights a week between the two cities.
An official with Etihad Airways commented that the new direct flights to Iran’s capital city would play a significant role in boosting trade relations between Abu Dhabi and Tehran, the Persian service of IRNA reported here on Monday.
Over 6,500 Iranian companies have been registered in the UAE and more than 10,000 Iranian students are currently studying in the Persian Gulf nation.
