TEHRAN, Sept. 5 (MNA) – Iran took the javelin silver at the world disabled track-and-field events in the Netherlands Tuesday.

 

Avaz Azmudeh registered a 26.42m throw in the F54 class, finishing runner-up to his Egyptian rival, who grabbed the gold with a 27.36m mark.

 

The bronze went to Brazil’s throw with a 25.30m record.

 

Iran Monday grabbed two gold and one silver medals in men’s and women’s discus events and men’s shot put respectively.

 

Seventy-eight countries have pitted 1,200 athletes in the tournament.
