TEHRAN, Aug. 4 (MNA) – As the first Iranian member of the Union of International Fairs (UIF), Mashhad International Exhibitions Company (MIEC) is planning to hold an international auto show. This is going to be MIEC’s fourth international sixth national fair, the managing director of the MIEC said here on Friday.

The centrality of the shrine city of Mashhad in car manufacturing and related industries, its extensive national and international publicity, good neighborliness with three countries, and the willingness of various countries to boost ties with Iran are the main reasons behind the establishment of the exhibition in Khorasan Razavi Province, Mohammad Seyyedi noted.

Promoting the transaction between national and international markets as well as evaluating the weak and strong points call for achieving state-of-the-art technologies in car manufacturing industry, he added.

Some 200 companies will be participating in the exhibition at the fairgrounds, which covers an area of 40,000 square meters, he said.

About 35 certified representatives from Germany, Italy, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, China, France, Taiwan, Turkey, Switzerland, Hong Kong, and Sweden along with national companies will be showcasing their latest achievements in automotive part manufacturing, marketing, designing, engineering, and tire-production industries, he explained.

Holding scientific seminars and conferences, direct talks among managers and customers, tutorial workshops, and a car rally will be some of the sideline programs, he said in conclusion.
