Speaking at the International Conference of Red Cross and Red Crescent Youth Coalition for Peace and Friendship held in Shiraz, the official added that a large number of deaths resulting from wars during recent decades calls on international peace-seeking communities to help the injured and to prevent wars, the Mehr News Agency reported.
“We live at a time when the death toll caused by wars is increasing day by day,”
he added.
Expressing regret over preemptive wars as pretexts by some international politicians, he pointed out “If the current trend goes on, we should expect a decade abounding in dangers, violence and mental disorders.”
Threatening speeches, neglecting public interests, unjust distribution of wealth and power and expansionism have paved the way for war.
The Red Crescent Society with its 100 million volunteers in 199 countries should fulfill its great mission in order to eliminate the grounds for wars, he concluded.
