TEHRAN, Dec. 02 (MNA) – Former adviser to the Iranian President for Religious Minorities Affairs Hojjatoleslam Ali Younesi said that Iranian government has emphasized on anti-violence Islam.

He made the above remark in his meeting with Ali Erbaş Head of the Turkey's Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) and praised the outstanding stance of Turkish government against aggressions and excessive demands of the West and Israel.

He further described the move taken by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in supporting people of Palestine and Gaza Strip against atrocities of Israel and US government as well as murdering of Saudi Arabian journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

He pointed to the foiled coup d’etat waged against Turkish government a couple of years ago and added, “the position, adopted by the Islamic Republic of Iran in line with strengthening unity and amity between the two countries of Iran and Turkey, was in favor of security of the region, maintaining amicable relationship between the two neighboring countries and also regional states.”

As advocates and staunch supporters of anti-violence Islam, the two countries of Iran and Turkey have confronted with violence, extremism and warmongering policies of the United States, former intelligence minister observed.

A 15-member Turkish delegation, headed by the Head of the Turkey's Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet), has traveled to the Islamic Republic of Iran at the official invitation of the Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST) Ayatollah Araki.
