TEHRAN, Dec. 01 (MNA) – In his meeting with the Ambassador to Ivory Coast Mansour Shakibmehr Friday, an Ivory Coast official specialized in Muslim merchants' affairs Mamadou Doumbia placed special emphasis on the cooperation of economic activists of the two countries, saying his country is ready to broaden its trade cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In this meeting, the two sides discussed various issues in the field of bilateral cooperation in trade and economic sectors.

He further called on economic activists of the two countries of Iran and Côte d'Ivoire to take effective steps in line with strengthening business activities.

For his part, Iranian Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire Mansour Shakibmehr pointed to organizing Iran Expo 2018 in Tehran and said, “an exhibition of Iranian products will be held in very near future in Abidjan and Iranian companies will showcase their latest products in this exhibition.”

He emphasized the necessity of familiarizing traders and merchants of the two countries with available capacities for broadening bilateral trade and economic ties.

Shakibmehr also welcomed trip of a high-ranking delegation of Ivory Coast’s traders to Tehran, to participate in Iran Expo 2018 Exhibition.

Ivory Coast is an African country located in the vicinity of Ghana and is the largest producer of cocoa in the world. Islamic Republic of Iran imports cocoa powder from this African country and exports products such as biscuit, engine oil, tomato paste, tile and ethanol to Ivory Coast.
