TEHRAN, Nov. 24 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif said Fri. that it is now time for the European Union to invest in the security that was backed by the 2015 nuclear deal, known as the JCPOA.

“EU needs to make a decision: does it want the US to dictate its relations with others when it disapproves of them? The JCPOA was in the interest of the security of Europe -- it now needs to invest in that security,” wrote Zarif in a tweet on Friday, following his address at the Mediterranean Dialogues Conference (MED) in Rome.

The Iranian top diplomat wrote in a hashtag that the EU ‘can’t swim without getting wet’, following the tweet with an attached video of his speech at the MED conference.

In his address on Friday, Zarif had said that Iran negotiated with the US along with other countries, and reached a good conclusion on signing the nuclear deal (JCPOA). Now Europe and others should make investments and pay costs for their efforts and global security, he added.
