TEHRAN, Nov. 21 (MNA) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry released a statement on Wed. in reaction to the newly-introduced sanctions on a number of Iranian companies and individuals, saying the sanctions will not yield the US’s desired results.

In a statement on Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi condemned the new sanctions imposed by the US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on a number of foreign and Iranian companies and individuals, including the deputy governor of the Central Bank of Iran, under false pretexts.

He maintained that “these futile, illogical, and inefficient sanctions against natural and legal entities will definitely fail to yield the desired results of their designers and executors.”

“They will, sooner or later, realize the futility of what they are thinking," he added.
