Iranian fiction-feature ‘Orange Days’ directed by Arash Lahooti was screened Mon. at the 8th Malatya International Film Festival (MIFF) in Turkey.
Lahooti’s latest ‘Orange Days’ is one of the 12 films competing for the top prize at the International Feature Film Competition of the Turkish film festival. Screenplay writer and director Nuri Bilge Ceylan serves as the jury president of this section.
‘AniMal’ by Behram Ark is taking part at the International Panorama section, and ‘The Slaughter’, an Iran-Spain co-production directed by Rasoul Iranzaf Aghamırlu, is participating at the International Short Film Competition section.
Three other Iranian titles, ‘Pig’ and ‘A Dragon Arrives’ by Mani Haghighi, ‘Princess of Rome’ by Hadi Mohammadian, and ‘3 Faces’ by Jafar Panahi have been also included in the festival’s screening program.
Three Iranians including Masoud Rayegan, Amir Masoud Soheili, and Mohammad Attebai also comprise the jury panel at various sections of the festival.
The 8th Malatya International Film Festival (MIFF) kicked off in the Turkish city on Nov. 9 and will run through Nov. 15.
