TEHRAN, Nov. 13 (MNA) – President Hassan Rouhani chaired the Supreme Council of Social Affairs stressing that "promoting hope in the society and giving people peace and security is very important."

Speaking at the meeting of Supreme Council of Social Affairs on Tuesday, Hassan Rouhani added, “all organs, especially the Ministry of Interior, should work harder to address people’s concerns about social harms, as instructed by Leader of Islamic Revolution."

He also said, “the work done in addressing social harms, which are very important for people, in recent years is promising."

“New technologies and scientific achievements, along with the problems they make, can facilitate people’s lives and promote peace and security for families,” he continued.

Rouhannii added, “today, those living in villages use the Internet and mobile phones to promote their handicrafts and tourist attractions of their villages to domestic and foreign tourists."

He then stressed that amplifying problems and promoting despair in the society is not beneficial for the people, continuing, “we are certain that political, economic and social problems can be resolved and people should be hopeful of this."

Rouhani went on to say, “if hope and vitality increases in the society, it can help address and prevent social harms. For example, it is OK if a part of a stadium is allocated to women, which is not against any rule or the religion and what has been approved by the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution."
