TEHRAN, Nov. 06 (MNA) – Governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) said Tuesday that Iran’s banking system is ready to bypass US sanctions and neutralize their pressures.

Abdolnaser Hemmati made the remarks in a meeting with the CEOs of Iranian banks in Tehran.

Spelling out the measures adopted by CBI to face sanctions, Hemmati urged all managers to put all-out effort to preserve financial transactions using the experiences gained from the previous round of sanctions.

Following the withdrawal of the United States from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in May, the country re-imposed its illegal sanctions targeting Iranian oil and banking sectors on November 5.
