TEHRAN, Nov. 05 (MNA) – Iranian puppet show ‘Flight No. 745’ directed by Marjan Poorgholamhossein will go on stage in three German cities on November 7-15.

The show will go on stage at Kulturzentrum GOROD in Munich on November 7, Theater der Ding in Berlin on November 12-13, and Prinz-Regent-Theater in Bochum on November 15.

‘Flight No. 745’ has been previously staged in the Netherlands and Brussels, and was recognized as the best war work at the Noorderzon Performing Arts Festival Groningen.

‘Flight No. 745’ is the story of a woman who returns home after 30 years abroad to sell their house in Iran. This show is about her bright childhood and her challenge to rebuild all those vanished memories.

‘Flight No. 745’ show is using Micro Theater technique and is the combination of cinema and theater. It’s based on using cinematic techniques in order to promote theatrical approaches. The show is staged at one square meter set with puppets in 2 cm high. Although this technique has been practiced by many artists in various shows, depending on different points of view and filming techniques, it could always bring new aspects on the stage.

Marjan Poorgholamhossein have performed as a puppet manipulator in more than 25 puppet shows in several international puppet festivals and this is her third show as a director.

“Making stories is a kind of work that I like the most. I'm always writing and making stories, this time I decided to picture one of those stories on stage. Although this story has not really happened to me, it is a familiar one for me and all Iranian women,” she said.
