TEHRAN, Nov. 03 (MNA) – Eight Iranian films, including ‘Lina’ by Ramin Rasouli and ‘Mothering’ by Roghiye Tavakoli, have made it into the screening program of the 6th Asian Film Festival Barcelona (AFFBCN) in Spain.

The Iranian films selected to compete in various sections of the festival are: ‘Appendix’ by Hosein Namazi, ‘Azar’ by Mohammad Hamzei, ‘Forty Baldies’ by Sadegh Sadegh Daghighi, ‘High Noon Story’ by Mohammad Hossein Mahdavian, ‘Leaf Of Life’ by Ebrahim Mokhtari, ‘Lina’ by Ramin Rasouli, ‘Mothering’ by Roghiye Tavakoli, and ‘Villa Dwellers’ by Monir Gheydi.

The Festival is organised in 6 sections: Official Section, Panorama Section, Netpac Section -to contest-, Discoveries Section, Special Section and “Retrospective” Section, which will be devoted to the Japanese director Hirokazu Koreeda, awarded with the Palme d’or at the Cannes Film Festival 2018 for his film ‘Shoplifters’.

The Asian Film Festival Barcelona (AFFBCN) will celebrate its sixth edition this year from October 31st to November 11th, 2018, in the Spanish city of Barcelona.
