TEHRAN, Oct. 28 (MNA) – First Vice-President Es’hagh Jahangiri appreciated Iraqi government and nation’s efforts in hosting Arbaeen pilgrims.

In a Sunday telephone conversation with Iraq’s Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, Jahangiri said that he will pay a visit to Iraq and participate in the Arbaeen pilgrimage in the coming days.

Elsewhere, he congratulated Abdul Mahdi for getting the vote of confidence from the Iraqi parliament, adding that Iraq will certainly overcome current issues under the new administration term.

He added that Iran-Iraq ties are continuously growing in all areas of mutual interest.

Abdul Mahdi, for his part, described the relation between the two countries as unique, adding that these close ties are not only due to long border lines, but also because of religious commonalities.

The new Iraqi government will put all its efforts to resolve current problems of the country and to establish constructive interaction with its neighbors, he highlighted.
