His Excellency Mr François Hollande
President of France
I express my sincerest congratulations on the advent of National Day of France to your Excellency and the people of the country.
I hope we witness development of ties between the two countries in bilateral, regional and international stages, as well as strengthening of deep cultural bonds between Iran and France through joint effort and using existing potentials, especially after JCPOA and my trip to Paris.
I pray to the Almighty Allah for your health and success, as well as French nation’s pride and prosperity.

Bastille Day or la Fête nationale is the national day of France, which is celebrated on the 14th of July each year.
The Bastille is a medieval fortress and prison in Paris. Many people in France associated it with the harsh rule of the Bourbon monarchy in the late 1700s. On July 14, 1789, troops stormed the Bastille. This was a pivotal event at the beginning of the French Revolution. Fête de la Fédération was held on July 14, 1790. This was a way to celebrate the establishment of a constitutional monarchy in France.
