TEHRAN, Jun. 25 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi has condemned the terrorist blast that targeted a rally of Ethiopia's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in capital Addis Ababa, in which scores of people were wounded.

Ghasemi expressed sympathy with the victims' bereaved families over the deadly attack on Saturday.

Rejecting any violent and terrorist acts, he expressed Iran's solidarity with Ethiopian nation and government in the path towards progress and democracy.

An attacker dressed in a police uniform tossed a grenade at a rally for Ethiopia’s new prime minister on Saturday, killing two and setting off a stampede as panicked people rushed to safety, according to officials, witnesses and the state broadcaster.
