TEHRAN, May 25 (MNA) – Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah has said that the new US sanctions against Iran will fail, adding they are aimed at putting pressure on the whole Resistance movement.

Speaking on the anniversary of the liberation of the south of Lebanon from the Israeli occupation on Friday, Hassan Nasrallah  said the purpose of the new US sanctions against Iran is to put pressure on the Resistance movement and its friends and allies, and the cessation of the financial resources of the resistance in Lebanon, stressing that the new sanctions will fail.

He emphasized that the United States is putting pressure on Iran to stop its aid to the Resistance and all its supporters.

He further noted that the US pressures come after the defeat of the Zionist enemy at the hands of the Resistance movement.

Elsewhere in his speech, the Hezbollah chief referred to the Moroccan foreign minister’s accusations against Iran, saying that there is no relation between the Polisario Front and the Hezbollah.

Nasrallah also congratulated the victory of the Syrian government against terrorists and the liberation of the whole suburb of Damascus.

He then referred to the ongoing process of the formation of the new government in Lebanon, calling on the new government to seriously fight against corruption.
