TEHRAN, May 03 (MNA) – Diplomats from Italy, France, Britain and Germany (E4) will meet on Thursday with senior Iranian officials in Rome to discuss regional issues.

According to IRNA quoting an informed source at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomats from the four European countries including Italy, France, Britain and Germany will hold a meeting today with high-ranking Iranian officials. The meeting, which will be held behind closed doors, will focus on regional issues, the source added.

The Iranian delegation is headed by Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Seyyed Abbas Araghchi.

Diplomats from the four European countries and Iran had previously met on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference back in February, to discuss the situation in Yemen.

The meeting takes place as Trump has threatened to kill the Iranian nuclear deal on May 12 under the pretext of Iran’s regional influences.
