TEHRAN, Apr. 24 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is in New York to attend the High-Level Meeting on Peace-building and Sustaining Peace, has held talks with his Belgian counterpart Didier Reynders.

According to Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the Monday talks, the two sides exchanged views on the most important issues in bilateral relations as well as the latest regional and international developments. 

Zarif and Reynders underlined the significance of expanding bilateral ties, particularly in making further investments in Iran, and urged all involved sides in the Iran nuclear deal to remain committed to their pledges under the accord.

The situations in Syria and Yemen were also discussed during the talks between the Iranian and Belgian top diplomats. They both called for a political solution to the crisis in Syria and called for international cooperation for restoring peace and truce to the war-torn Yemen.
