“Photos of dolls displayed at a ceremony held on Universal Children's Day, will be submitted to the institute,” Mohsen Chiniforushan added.
He noted that various dolls from different countries, especially Islamic countries, have been collected by Iran’s embassies in other countries and other countries’ embassies in Iran as well as bought on the market to be shown at the museum.
He went on to say that dolls exemplify the culture, traditions, and lifestyles of peoples in different countries.
Children will get to know different ethnic groups through learning about their cultures, civilizations, religions, and costumes, he explained, saying, “Some dolls are designated for children to play with in the museum.”
The cultural symbols of a nation should be taught to children through the use of oral and written information, Chiniforushan expressed.
Dolls play an important role in forming children’s personalities and also in developing their emotional relationships, he said in conclusion.
