Iranian deputy ambassador for legal and international affairs in The Hague told the media that “the Islamic Republic of Iran has reviewed the seventh report of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons-United Nations Joint Investigative Mechanism- concluding that the report lacks credibility.”
The Iranian representative made the remarks at the 56th meeting of the OPCW Executive Council which was held on reviewing the seventh report of the Joint Investigative Mechanism (JIM) of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and the United Nations.
The Iranian envoy reiterated at the meeting that the Islamic Republic of Iran categorically condemns any use of chemical weapons by anybody at anywhere and under any circumstances.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran maintains that the findings of the Joint Investigative Mechanism (JIM) of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and the United Nations must be based on documents, reliable sources, and verifiable references,” he ascertained.
“Unfortunately, however, the contractions and irrelevancies in the report make it impossible to attest the conclusions of the report as perfect and comprehensive,” he underlined.
