TEHRAN, Oct. 24 (MNA) – In a message issued on Tuesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani extended greetings to his Zambian counterpart on the Independence Day of the African country.

In his message forwarded on Tuesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani congratulated President Edgar Chagwa Lungu and the people of Zambia as they celebrate the anniversary of the Zambia Independence Act passed in 1964 and put into effect on October 24, 1964.

President Rouhani stressed strong support for mutual efforts between the two sides for further development of relations in fields of mutual interest and expansion of international cooperation.

He also prayed for the president’s continued health and success, as well as the nation’s felicity and prosperity.
