TEHRAN, Oct. 22 (MNA) – Trade transactions between Iran and China in the first 8 months of 2017 has exceeded $24 billion, showing a 24 percent growth, Iran-China chamber of commerce reported Sunday.

Iran-China Chamber of Commerce quoted China Customs as saying the level of trade transactions between the two countries has shown a 24 per cent increase in the first 8 months of 2017 compared to the same period last year.

The volume of trade ties between Iran and China stood at $19.5 billion from January to August 2016. The volume reached $24.17 billion during the same period this year.

China’s exports to Iran and imports from the Islamic Republic have had a considerable increase during this year’s period.

China's exports to Iran in January to August 2017 rose by %18.1 this year, reaching $12.04 billion. In the period of January-August 2016, China exported $10.2 billion worth of goods to Iran.

China's imports from Iran also had a considerable increase. In the first eight months of 2016, China shipped $9.3 billion worth of goods from Iran. The imports reached $12.13 billion in the first eight months of this year with a 30 percent increase. Oil is China’s main imported product from Iran.
