The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri who is visiting Syrian capital city of Damascus met with Syrian Defense Minister General Fahd Jassem al-Freij on Wednesday.
The two senior officials discussed the avenues of broadening security and defense cooperation after exchanging views on strategic issues of the region.
Both sides underlined that terrorism and extremism should be countered vehemently specifying more development in military, defense, and security cooperation between Iran and Syria.
