TEHRAN, Oct. 16 (MNA) – With the advocacy of Iranian delegation in the 137th assembly of IPU in St. Petersburg on Sunday, a resolution was adopted on the emergency item condemning the massacre of innocent Rohingya people with the majority vote.

The proposal, forwarded by seven countries of Iran, Bangladesh, Indonesia, EAU, Morocco, Turkey and Sudan was concerned with the Myanmar crisis, and eventually was adopted by a majority vote.

The item urged putting an end to human crisis and violent attacks on the people of Rohingya which is a threat for international peace and security; the resolution also calls to ensure the safe return of the oppressed people to their homeland in Myanmar.
