TEHRAN, Oct. 15 (MNA) – Iran's Army unveiled a new achievement in the area of artillery fire on Sunday with the Army Chief Major General Mousavi at the event.

At a ceremony held on Sunday at Shahid Zerehran Center of Iran’s Army, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi the new Commander-in-Chief of Iran's Army unveiled new self-propelled 155mm artillery system of Ashoura.

Brigadier-General Kiyoumars Heydari, the Commander of the Ground Force of the Army was accompanying the superior official.

The new Iran made 155mm artillery cannon is capable of shooting high-angle and right-angle rounds.

It is mounted on heavy truck chassis and hydraulic recoil cylinder contain the recoil effect after the firing.
