TEHRAN, Jul. 18 (MNA) – Iranian lawmakers voted to approve the single-urgency bill to counter US adventurous and terrorist acts in the region on Tuesday.

The plan secured 211 yes votes, 6 no votes, and 1 abstention. A total of 230 lawmakers were present at the legislature at the time of the voting.

The outlines of the bill had been approved in the Iranian Parliament to confront US adventurers and terrorist acts in the region to counter the US Senate's plan to impose massive non-binding sanctions against Iran, known as "Countering Iran's Destabilizing Activities Act of 2017".

Passed by a vote of 98-2, the Countering Iran’s Destabilizing Activities Act of 2017 is imposing new mandatory sanctions against persons and entities involved in Iran’s ballistic missile program and sanctions against the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps.
