TEHRAN, Jun. 30 (MNA) – The United Nations, the European Union and the UN Security Council have called on all member states to continue to fully implement their commitments to JCPOA.

In a briefing on the implementation of resolution 2231 on Thursday, United Nations, the European Union and the UN Security Council emphasizing the need to protect JCPOA as a multi-faceted document and historical achievement, called on all member states to continue to fully implement their commitments to the nuclear deal.

UN Security Council in a meeting held on Thursday in New York reviewed the third report of the Secretary-General of the United Nations on the implementation of resolution 2231.   

The secretary general believes that the comprehensive and sustained implementation of the JCPOA will guarantee that Iran’s nuclear program remains exclusively peaceful, while allowing for transparency, monitoring and verification,” said UN Security Council’s report.

UN secretary general called on all involved sides, as well as the wider international community to continue supporting the full and effective implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action reached between Iran and 5+1 on 14th of July, 2015.
