TEHRAN, May 29 (MNA) – Ebrahim Hatamikia’s feature movie ‘Bodyguard’ has been nominated for the main prize in 4 categories at Madrid International Film Festival.

Bodyguard was first shown in the 34th Fajr International Film Festival and won 2 Cristal Simorghs for Best Actor in a Leading Role and Best Visual Effects.

The feature has been nominated in four categories, Best Actor (Parviz Parastoui), Best Supporting Actor (Babak Hamidian), Best Foreign Film (Ehsan Mohammad Hasani) and Best Editing (Mehdi Husseinvand) at the Spanish event.

The movie tells the story of a middle-aged man who protects high-ranking political figures. However, he gets into trouble when a suicide bomber wearing an explosive vest approaches the vice president for whom he is head of protection team.

Bodyguard stars Parviz Parastoui, Babak Hamidian, Merila Zarei, Mahmod Azizi, Amir Aghaei, Farhad Ghaemian, Diba Zahedi and Kamran Najafzadeh.

The Madrid International Film Festival, scheduled for July 8-15, 2017, is an international film event to celebrate film making whilst bringing together filmmakers and the business of filmmaking.
