TEHRAN, May 14 (MNA) – Iranian animated movie ‘Ascribed Achievement’ directed by Samaneh Shojaei will go on screen at the Los Angeles Film Festival, which is a qualifying event for the short films categories of the Academy Awards.

24th edition of LA Film Festival will be held on June 9-17 in California hosting Iran’s Ascribed Achievement at the animated short film competition section.

Ascribed Achievement narrates the story of an old boy, who is dissatisfied with his appearance and hereditary and decides to end his life. But his failed suicide creates a new situation in his life.

The film is a new experience with grotesque narration and real images.

The movie has been screened in numerous festivals, including Athens AnimFest, Flatpack Film Festival and Fest Anca.

The LA Film Festival is an annual film festival held in June in Culver City, California. It showcases independent, international, feature, documentary and short films.
