“Islamic identity is an obstacle for enemies’ interference and dominance and that is why they seek to ruin it; Quran’s teachings are constructive for the powerful and glorious life of Islamic Ummah and should be applied to the common discourse of Islamic societies,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in his meeting with instructors and reciters of the holy Quran on Thursday.
Leader deemed ‘faith in God’ and ‘disbelief in Arrogance’ as two key concepts of the Holy Quran; “emphasizing on a faithful identity doesn’t mean fighting or isolation, but independence in order to resist an arrogant identity and continued the progress.”
“Islamic world is in trouble today due to dominance of Western culture, economy and politics; most of Islamic countries does not bear an Islamic identity and this enables the enemies to interfere in their culture, economy, beliefs, politics and social relations causing tension and division among Muslims,” Ayatollah Khamenei reaffirmed.
Leader warned that enemies seek to ruin the Islamic identity in every part of the world, underlining that understanding the two key concepts of Quran, ‘faith in God’ and ‘disbelief in Arrogance’, would help develop the Islamic world in a glorious way. “Being away from Quran and its teachings leads to enemies abuse of Islamic world; the current condition of Islamic states in front of US, Zionism and arrogant powers stems from the distance they keep from Quran; once the distance is removed all such problems would be solved.”
Ayatollah Khamenei also emphasized the critical role of artists, poets and authors in promoting the Quranic concepts, urging all to work together to embed the Holy Quran’s teachings in lives of Muslims.
