TEHRAN, Apr. 03 (MNA) – International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has invited Iran’s Mohammad Shahmiri to judge at 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix.

The 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix will be the 25th edition of the annual women's international volleyball tournament played by 32 teams between 7 July and 6 August.

Accordingly, Mohammad Shahmiri, the international volleyball referee of Iran, will depart for the Netherlands in order to oversee Group C competitions of the sportive event.

The Iranian umpire had been previously invited to FIVB Volleyball World League 2017 and will travel to Russia and Argentina in order to moderate Group C and I matches.

Shahmiri remains as the only Iranian referee who judges at the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). He has previously arbitrated at Olympic Games, World League and World Cup among the others.
