TEHRAN, Feb. 27 (MNA) – Iran’s latest developed cruise missile ‘Nasir’ has been successfully test fired during massive naval drills on Mon., Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan announced today.

Iran’s Minister of Defense Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehghan announced that the latest domestically developed naval cruise missile named ‘Nasir’ has been successfully launched and hit the predetermined targets during Velayat 95 drill.

The last stage of the massive naval drill codenamed Velayat 95 is currently underway on southern waters covering an area of two million square kilometers all the way from the Strait of Hurmuz, the Sea of Oman, North Indian Ocean and Bab-el-Mandeb to 10° latitudes. The naval maneuver was launched on Sunday morning at the order of Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari.
