TEHRAN, Feb. 21 (MNA) – Iran’s Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan said the Knowledge-based defense organization can protect national power and effective deterrence and avert threats to the security system.

He made the remarks during the opening ceremony of 1st national conference on knowledge-based defense organization held in Malek-Ashtar University of Technology on Tuesday.

Pointing to the changes in concept of threats, the emergence of new highly advanced technologies and increase in military spending, Dehghan said Iran will develop its defensive system power relying on knowledge-based defense organizations and rapid move towards innovation and quality, to win the game in case of threat.

“Knowledge-based defense organization can protect our national power and effective deterrence and avert threats to the security system,” Dehghan noted.

“All the world's greatest powers acknowledge that terrorism and ISIL terrorist-Takfiri group are the main threats to the security and stability in the region and the world. Who is a threat to the security in the region? Iran which is itself the victim of terrorism and fights the heinous phenomenon by all means, or US whose new president admits the previous government has been involved in founding and assisting extremist terrorist groups?,” Deghan said while pointing to the recent remarks by US Vice President Mike Pence and the Zionist regime's Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman in Munich Security Conference.

Warning the terrorist-training Zionist regime, Dehghan said the regime’s desperate attempt to forge a coalition against Iran will bear no results and Iran would never abandon the Palestinian cause and the liberation of Quds.

The whole world, particularly the Palestinian people, will never forget the brutal and inhuman crimes of the regime in the past 60 years; they recognize the regime as the culprit of war, insecurity, terror and crime in the region, Dehghan confirmed.
