TEHRAN, Feb. 10 (MNA) – Ali Larijani, the Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, told an executive meeting on Resistance Economy held in Kerman on Thursday that Iran’s economy is witnessing growth.

“The economic growth of the current year has witnessed improvement and reached 7.4% which is partly due to the positive effects of the nuclear deal on oil section,” said Larijani.

The top MP recounted that a good atmosphere has been created for transportation of goods and it is expected to have a 51.9% growth in added value of the oil section sat the end of the year.

“Industry has seen a 3.7% growth in the current year which is relatively good, but more efforts are needed,” underlined the Iranian senior MP. “When the infrastructures have been built in a country, it is the time to jump.”

The MP from the constituency of Qom recounted that there will also be a 3.74% growth in services section in the current year which approves the positive trend of economy and signals that an appropriate approach has been taken.

“According to the research conducted by the research center of the parliament the inflation rate of the current year will strike 9% and on the condition that the liquidity not be increased, the index will be kept on a one-digit rate,” highlighted the Iranian official.

The law maker also called for allegiance to the policies of the “Resistance Economy” outlined by the Leader of Iran as a “key to economic problems”.
