TEHRAN, Feb. 08 (MNA) – Foreign Ministry spokesman Ghasemi said Iran is ready to provide Pakistan with its assistance in dealing with the aftermath of a strong earthquake that struck the southern coast of Pakistan early Wednesday.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi released a statement soon after reports announced a strong 6.3-magnitude earthquake hitting off near the coast of Pakistan early Wednesday, voicing Iran’s readiness to provide Pakistan with humanitarian aid to people in quake-hit regions.

The strong earthquake is said to have caused losses of life and property to hundreds of people in this region.

Ghasemi further expressed his sympathy with the government and nation of Pakistan, particularly the families of the victims and the wounded.
