TEHRAN, Jan. 19 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Malaysian capital city of Kuala Lumpur on Thursday and headed to the session of OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.

Early on Thursday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, arrived in Malaysian capital city of Kuala Lumpur and was warmly received by Iranian ambassador to Malaysia, Marziyeh Afkham, and Abdullah Zawawi Tahir, one of the senior officials of Malaysian foreign ministry, reported the official website of President Rouhani’s administration.

 After the welcome ceremony at the international airport of Kuala Lumpur, the Iranian top diplomat headed to the conference hall where the Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers on the situation of the Rohingya Muslim Minority in Myanmar was scheduled to open.

The Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers was called by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak in a bid to help end the persecution of Myanmar's Rohingya Muslim minority,.
