Abdullah Abdullah is accompanied by his deputy Mohammad Mohaqiq, Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani, Second Vice President Sarwar Danish, Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development Nasir Ahmad Durrani, and Minister of Transport and Aviation Mohammadullah Batash.
Afghanistan’s CEO and his delegation are scheduled to hold meetings with senior Iranian officials to discuss ways for expansion of bilateral cooperation in various fields.
Last January, Abdullah paid a four-day visit to Tehran as well as to the Port of Chabahar in southeastern Iran to assess the transit capacities in line with the agreements achieved between Iran and Afghanistan.
Afghanistan has no access to the sea and Afghan investors are keen on using Chabahar for a quicker and cheaper transit of their imported and exported goods.
