TEHRAN, Dec. 11 (MNA) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani cabled a message to his Indonesian counterpart Joko Widodo, condoling him over the deaths caused by the deadly earthquake on Pidie Jaya district.

Ruhani announced Iran is ready to render humanitarian aid to the injured and Muslim people of Indonesia.

In his message, President Rouhani expressed grief over the news on deadly quake in the Islamic country of Indonesia.

He prayed for immediate recovery of the injured people and voiced Iran's readiness to take any necessary action to this end.

The shallow 6.5-magnitude quake damaged homes, shops and mosques in the district of Pidie Jaya on Wednesday, completely destroying hundreds of structures. At least 100 people were killed, including young children, and 136 seriously injured, according to Indonesia's Disaster Management and Mitigation Agency.
