TEHRAN, Dec. 05 (MNA) – Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani has called for initiation of a nuclear council to decide on proper countermeasures against JCPOA violation.

The official, while speaking to reporters on Monday, touched upon possible reaction of Iran’s government and Parliament to contravention of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) by the US asserting “what the government puts on agenda gains considerable momentum when there is a breach of promise of negligence on the part of foreign parties.”

“JCPOA and the Parliament are clear about the necessary measures to be taken if the nuclear agreement is violated,” stressed Iran’s Parliament speaker.

Larijnai further underlined that the required countermeasures have been previously defined and made clear; “a nuclear council needs to be established in order to scrutinize the path followed by the American side and to take appropriate reciprocal action or make necessary complaints,” underlined the official saying that the task will be carried out in coming days.

Following the renewal of Iran Sanction Act (ISA) by the US senate, Iranian officials have warned that the country will have react resolutely if Americans extend bans.
