BEIJING, Dec. 05 (MNA) – Iran’s FM Zarif and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi called on all parties to the nuclear deal to fully comply with all their commitments under the agreement.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Beijing early Monday as the second leg of his ‘India-China-Japan’ tour, and held talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on various bilateral, regional and international issues.

During the meeting, the two sides conferred on expansion of economic cooperation, budgeting projects, banking transactions, solving the issues of Iranian students in China, and highlighted the need for the continuation of talks at high levels between the two countries.

The Chinese top diplomat welcomed Iran’s accession to Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and went on to stress his country’s resolve for cooperating with Iran in the fight against terrorism and extremism.

Wang Yi further maintained that Iran’s nuclear deal was a multinational document approved by the UN Security Council, and the internal developments of certain countries must not compromise it.

The Chinese foreign minister's stress on the full implementation of the JCPOA by all parties to the agreement was a nod to the recent move by the US Congress in passing the extension of Iran Sanctions Act (ISA) which according to many senior Iranian officials is in clear violation of the nuclear deal.
