TEHRAN, Dec. 04 (MNA) – Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Iranian Parliament Director General for International Affairs, has noted on Saturday that Syrian crisis could merely be solved through political ways, rejecting US slogans to fight terrorism as untrue.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Syrian Ambassador to Tehran Adnan Mahmoud.

Congratulating Syrian diplomat on military victories against terrorists in important regions of Aleppo, Amir-Abdollahian added Syrian people, leadership and army guaranteed territorial integrity against imported terrorists from abroad.

Pointing to Russia's policy in providing support for Syria, he said Tehran and Moscow will continue their support to the Syrian government against terrorists and their war-mongering supporters and will advance their political and diplomatic efforts to end Syrian crisis.

Adnan Mahmoud, for his part, expressed gratitude to the Iranian government and nation for supporting the Syrian oppressed people, adding "regional hegemonic countries and their supporters have been demoralized by our military achievements as their ominous terrorist plots were ruined."

Mahmoud also underlined any decision about Syrian fate should be in the framework of strategic policies of Syria, Iran and Russia.

Pointing to the Leader of Islamic Revolution's foresight concerning political and international developments in the region and the entire world, Mahmoud said all reservations of Ayatollah Khamenei on Syria and JCPOA have come true.

Concluding the meeting, Adnan Mahmoud highly regarded the economic cooperation between the two countries, adding fulfillment of already signed agreements would be a great help for the Syrian nation.
