TEHRAN, Dec. 03 (MNA) – Putin's Special Representative for the Middle East and North Africa Michael Bogdanov will visit Tehran on Mon. for further coordination on Iran-Russia’s counterterrorism positions.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov will held talks with Iranian officials on issues of mutual interest, the regional developments, particularly in Syria, and to discuss further coordination between Iran and Russia on their counterterrorism agendas.

According to Sputnik, his visit has been scheduled for Monday, December 5. The Russian news agency also quoted Bogdanov as saying that he “wouldn't discuss the issue of Russia's possible use of the Iranian Hamadan airbase during his upcoming visit to Iran.”

The Russian diplomat had last visited Tehran on Aug. 15, where he held talks with Hossein Jaberi Ansari, Iran’s Deputy FM for Arab and African Affairs, on the military deadlock in Aleppo and other developments in Syria. The talks were specially focused on finding ways for further coordination between Iran and Russia in combating international terrorism and seeking a political solution to the Syrian crisis.
