TEHRAN, Nov. 21 (MNA) – IRISL Managing Director Saeidi said Khazar Sea Shipping Lines Company has gained an appropriate share of regional markets despite all difficulties.

Managing Director of Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) Mohammad Saeidi said made the remarks at a meeting with directors of Khazar Sea Shipping Lines Company adding “despite regional and international competitors, the firm has made significant achievements.”

He later pointed to IRISL’s successes in the era emerged after the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was implemented recalling “so far in the post sanction period, IRISL has activated shipping lines from the Persian Gulf to all around the world in addition to implementing inked contracts.”

Saeidi urged all subsidiaries of IRISL to move towards envisaged goals by sparing no effort to increase their share of regional and international markets.

Later at the meeting, Managing Director of Khazar Sea Shipping Lines Company Aliakbar Ghonji presented report on the company’s performance describing its latest status of activities.

On the basis of the most recent report published by London’s Clarkson Research Services Limited (CRSL), Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL), for the second months in row, has ranked 19th among world’s owners of container ships for possessing a total of 92,476 TEU.

The report is an indication of the favorable and firm position of IRISL in the new era after removal of sanctions providing Iran with the largest fleet in the Middle East.
