TEHRAN, Nov. 12 (MNA) – Chang Wanquan, Minister of Defense and State Councilor of the People's Republic of China and a general in the People's Liberation Army will pay an official visit to Iran on Sunday.

His three-day visit to Tehran takes place upon an invitation of Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehghan.

Senior Lieutenant General Chang Wanquan will meet with Iranian defense minister as well as Iran's high-ranking political and military officials while in Tehran to discuss bilateral, regional and international issues.

Wanquan had visited Iran last year in April, during which both sides stressed deepening of defense ties and implementation of agreements between the two countries.
